Zongo Falls

   Kinshasa    15 April 2024

Zongo Falls, located on the Inkisi River in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), is one of the country's biggest tourist attractions.
Geography

The falls take their name from the town of Zongo. They are located on the Inkisi River.
The Inkisi enters the DRC via a waterfall and flows into the river after the Zongo Falls. Between the two falls, the Zongo hydroelectric dam (2008) and the Zongo falls and dams form barriers that restrict fish migration.

Located 135 km from Kinshasa, nearly 2 hours from downtown Kinshasa, the Seli Safari Zongo tourist site runs alongside the Inkisi River. Not to be missed are the impressive waterfalls that tumble down from a height of 67 metres. You'll come away stunned and refreshed from head to toe.
